I really like the low res pixel art, and the gameplay is solid too! The music and sounds are juicy too. The level design is great, the last levels with the cold industrial look make me feel like I'm in a more dangerous place, after swinging around in the lush forests.
The only thing I could give as a constructive criticism are the fences. In the first level I was confused for a 2-3 minutes as to where to go. Then I realized, that I can jump on those brown fences. It didn't look like something I can jump on, for me at least. Maybe you could introduce the player to that by placing a banana on the first fence.
All in all, amazing game :)
PS: I'm not sure how it fits the theme "less is more".
Thank you for the feedback! Simple mechanics (less is more, so no complicated controls) and simple objective (Get to the end.) And more is the art and music.
I used WASD, the controls were really easy to understand. As was the core mechanic of going from vine to vine. You've done an amazing job introducing the mechanics with the right amount of time between them without causing an overwhelming feeling of new mechanics being thrown at the player every freaking second.
Love that every time I got a bit "bored" of the same mechanic, there was something new introduced. The fact you had to go back and forth was a nice touch!
This was the only time I was a bit puzzled as I didn't know exactly what was expected. The visible vine's on the top corner made me keep trying how to do a "double jump" instead of realizing instantly that I could have used the tiny ladders.
If you'd wanna make it easier, you could throw a banana on the first ladder step to make it obvious for the player that this is, in fact, a usable surface.
...But it might have also been intentional. In which case, good job, you made me think about how to go forward and actually learn. And the placement was early enough that it made it easy just to re-try.
You did use the mechanic of using a Banana to guide beautifully in the 3rd level where the banana was hidden inside the wall.
It was thoroughly good fun! With the few basic mechanics, you had, freaking 10/10! Great job :)
Note from PxlDev: I really tried to make the game easier, but I didnt know what would be make it a little easier, I myself and my firend tought it was pretty easy on the beggining.

true monke but it doesn't start. the game doesn't start
Is it stuck on the Unity loading screen? If so, I am not sure if there is a fix for it.
Gives a nice arcade vibe, good job! :)

I think it would have been better if the game was a little easier.
Not to the point of it not being hard anymore but just easier to get into so that i can get past the ducking second level
and the song gets kind of annoying because it loops so often next time maybe make a longer song
the gameplay itself and the flexabilety in the controls is good though
Edit: about the next time I mean your next game

I ran into the same issue. I thought my game was really easy, until I submitted it.
